The breakfast at this hotel is mind-blowing, with options to cater to every taste. The concierge service staff are incredibly professional and go above and beyond to assist guests. The spacious and clean rooms, complete with amazing bathtubs, make for a comfortable stay. The hotel's location is perfect, with the train station within walking distance and easy access to nightlife via a short taxi ride. The upgraded high-floor room offers a jaw-dropping city view and is beautifully appointed. The pool is clean and perfect for both swimming and relaxation, with a jacuzzi and steam room available. The well-equipped gym is another plus. The room layout and lighting are super and the entire check-in process was smooth and professional. this hotel offers a truly exceptional experience and is highly recommended for both business and pleasure travelers.

The breakfast could have offered more "Continental" which does not (only) include "bacon and egg". With a hotel of this category and this clientele this could certainly be arranged.

Excellent Service and Beautiful Room

During our stay at Intercontinental Shanghai Jing' An, we were incredibly impressed with the service provided by the staff. They were attentive, friendly, and always went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious, providing us with a comfortable and luxurious experience.

Although there were a few minor drawbacks such as the need to join their rewards program for free Wi-Fi access and a small hiccup with the room assignment, these were outweighed by the overall positive experience we had at the hotel.

I'm often here and therefore pleased that it is still good. In contrast to other well-known chains that exaggerate with the savings madness. In general it can be seen that the service / comfort is reduced, in contrast to the prices. So you get e.g. no more points as a club member of IHG if you book here. As a frequent traveler, this is a reason to look for other providers.

I had a fantastic stay at Intercontinental in Jing'an. The room was spacious, clean, and modern, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The location, right across from Shanghai Railway Station, made it convenient for exploring the city using the subway. The staff, from the concierge team to the reception team, were helpful and provided great recommendations.

Spacious in every way and everywhere.Guest room fixtures like bathtub and toilette are in excellent condition. Separate toilette room from a bathroom. TOTO washlet system in the toilette.

Guest room amenities are not matching the superiority of the guest room standard.

Very attentive staff; early check-in was possible; very competent concierge who helped to arrange train tickets. All the facilities you could wish for, such as a swimming pool and a large gym.

Air conditioning was not working; despite the visit of a technician there was no improvement, very warm in the room.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and modern, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The hotel facilities were top-notch, including a well-maintained gym and a lovely Japanese restaurant called Koi. The location was also great, as it was conveniently close to the No 1 metro line, providing easy access to the city center and main attractions. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, providing excellent customer service throughout my stay.

Excellent hotel in close vicinity of the Shanghai Rail station, spacious room and perfect bathroom

This is a large and very comfortable hotel with excellent gym and indoor pool. Rooms are large and very well appointed. Hotel is five minutes walk from Shanghai Railway Station which is very convenient.

My only complaint is that rooms are too hot and it does not seem possible to use the individual temperature controls in the room to change temperature as they appear to have been disabled.
